We are looking for a competent Security Officer to undertake the surveillance of our premises and protection of our staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior.

A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation.

The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping our facilities safe and problem-free.

• Inspect and patrol premises and access points regulary to maintain order
• Monitor and authorize property entrances
• Investigate and take appropriate lawfully action as authorized by the company policy on accidents , incidents, trespassing , suspicious activitiea , safety and fire incidents
• Secure all exits , doors and windows after end of operations
•      Control and monitor surveillance equipment to identify disruption or unlawful acts, and perform building and equipment inspections
•      Respond immidiately to distress calls , panic alarms and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons , and incidents swiftly and appropriately
•      Manage and lead security guards’ team to ensure effective protection and coverage
•      Lead security guards’ team to ensure they are visible and observant at all times, greeting staff, guests, and vendors in a courteous and attentive manner
•       Maintain the company’s reputation with professionalism and legal compliance
•       Complete daily reports surveillance activity and occurrences
•       Determining the level of access for people, and allowing or denying entry.
•       Reporting irregularities and calling authorities.
•       Restraining trespasses and preventing losses, sounding alarms and summoning help, when necessary.
•       Communicating policies and procedures to potential violators.
•       Preparing and filing reports, and working in a team.
•       Interviewing witnesses, obtaining signatures, and complying with the legal regulations at all times.
•      Maintaining the stability and reputation of the employer.
•      Ensuring the smooth operation of the equipment and troubleshooting malfunctions, when necessary.
•      Evaluating equipment and new techniques.
•      Conduct all necessary disciplinary investigation tasks as required and by the Tanzania Labour laws and produce a report.
•      Supervise safety and security during 24 hours operation of the site, especially during nighttime and around the clock.

•      Undergraduate degree in business management or law or relevant field
•      At least 3 years of experience in a similar role with at least 2 years’ experience as a security guard
•      Good understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
•      Outstanding surveillance and observation skills
•      Experience in surveillance systems is an added advantage
•      Problem-solving skills
•      Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
•      Proven supervisory and management experience.

Required skills and abilities that the Security Officer must possess to ensure the growth of the organization

Physical:

• Security officers should be physically strong with ability to run regular physical check ups around the sites and property.
• Prior experience as a security officer can help fulfill this requirement

Reporting (Investigation report):

• Security officers should be able to deal with uncertainty as well as have decent reporting skills.
• They should know what and how to ask as per Tanzania labour law guidance on conducting investigation under the disciplinary procedure.
• They should have good English skills and excellent attention to details

Management:

• Professionals in security should be able to manage a team as well as be a part of it.
• They should also be proficient at safety managementSurveillance:
