Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible to positively influencing the sales drivers to deliver the businesses volume growth ambitions is critical in realizing the SBL vision.

 

 

The role requires the individual to apply knowledge of marketing and sales to contribute to and develop integrated marketing campaigns to promote a product, service or idea. This is a varied role, and not limited to but which includes:

 

·         Planning

·         Advertising

·         Public relations

·         Event organisation

·         Product development

·         Distribution

·         Sponsorship

·         Research.

 


Duties And Responsibilities
  •       Create awareness of, and develop MBL brands marketing
  •      Communicate with target audiences and build and develop customer relationships
  •      Create marketing plans, advertising, direct marketing and campaigns.
  •      Support the marketing manager in delivering agreed activities
  •      Source advertising opportunities and place adverts in the press or on the radio
  •      Work closely with in-house or/and external creative agencies to design high quality and cost-effective marketing materials.
  •      Prepare and proofread marketing copy for both online and print campaigns.
  •      Produce creative content, including videos and other online posts
  •      Run, monitor performance and evaluate social media channels (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, IG etc) to enhance audience engagement
  •      Organize and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
  •      Source and secure sponsorship
  •      Liaise with designers and printers and organize photo shoots
  •      Arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials
  •      Maintain and update customer databases – the trade and channels
  •      Conduct market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups. Trade Research interpretation and development of corrective action plans through Monthly National Commercial Score card and Divisional Commercial Score cards
  •      Develop relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
  •      Track marketing performance and return on investment and prepare weekly or monthly reports for management
  •      Monitor and report on competitor activity
  •      Lead external agencies, when appropriate, to effectively manage events, press relationships, editorial requests, presentations, promotional materials and online activities
  •      Oversee and manage the marketing budget
  •      People management and a strong team players
  •      Motivate, Train and Coach sales team on all required marketing campaigns, branding and objectives.
  •      Setting and monitoring clear performance marketing and sales objectives for all team members
  •      Commercial Strategy alignment and influence
  •      Development of sales and BTL marketing strategies and objectives into retail segment plans
  •         Influence and develop medium/long term trade segment strategy.
  •       Influence and direct customer strategy for PR.
  •       Implement and develop execution standards for the trade with appropriate space planning systems. Measure and report on the commercial principles of Quality, Distribution, Visibility (Develop and maintain leading edge POS resources), Price (ROI, Price compliance and profit management), Promotion (Develop and co-ordinate customized promotions by segment and major customers) and Persuasion. (QDVPPP)
  •      Be in charge of Demand forecasting.
  •      Champion the Commercial Planning process, from developing, monitoring, reviewing and prepare management reports for progress on the trade strategy and JUBP.
  •      Develop and co-ordinate channel segment Management Initiatives.
  •      Monitoring, evaluating and advising on Brand/segment volume, trends and dynamics.
  •      Manage all merchandising agency and continuously ensure review of standards as per trade needs.
  •      Manage trade research agency relationships and recommend ad hoc research requirements to brand/activities by segment.
  •      Establish and ensure implementation of a well-documented and communicated cycle brief structure.
  •   Information management for the Sales team through the SFA (Sales Force Automation)

  •      At least 5 years commercial (sales) role, brand management, and Management experience is required
