Job Summary

The job of Regional Sales Manager falls under the broader career category of Export Manager and so a background in sales would be ideal. The post holder will be responsible for managing a sales team, establishing sales territories, setting sales targets in association with senior managers of the organisation, analysing sales statistics and helping to grow the business.

The Regional Sales Manager is a key member of the organisation and will expected to be a great communicator together with the ability to establish and maintain relationships both internally and externally.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Consultation of the clients regarding insurances, duties and taxes
  • Monitoring of the shipments to ensure the compliance of regulations
  • Search for possibilities to reduce taxes
  • Maintenance of customer relations and participation in the organization's sales activities
  • Assessment of new marketing and sales opportunities as well as presentation of those estimations to the respective managements
  • Ability to speak French and English to assist managers to develop more qualified new customers in the Congo and Burundi market
  • Responsible for local promotion, including selection of temporary promotion staff
  • Distribution of new products samples to retailers
  • Posting and distribution of promotional posters 
  • Specific implementation of time to time purchases and promotions
  • Directs foreign sales and service outlets of an organization
  • Negotiates contracts with foreign sales and distribution centers to establish outlets.
  • Directs clerical staff in expediting export correspondence, bid requests, and credit collections.
  • Directs conversion of products from American to foreign standards and specifications to ensure efficient operation under foreign conditions.
  • Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of imports and exports


Education Other Skills Required
  • Bachelors degree in Business adminstration, (International ) Trade , Business, Finance or any other related field
  • At best, practical experience in a similar position
  • Good understanding of sales and marketing strategies
  • Well-developed communicational skills and a customer orientation
  • Knowledge about budget management, international trade and taxations
  • Fluent in French and English , specifically be able to express numbers and dates in French clearly.
  • Know well of marketing development
  • Ability to easily comprehend and organize shipment processes
