Job Summary

Sales Support Specialists provide assistance to sales teams and act as a liaison between sales representatives and internal departments. Routines for the Sales Support Specialist are but not limited to submitting quotes, tracking orders, engaging with marketing qualified leads, developing sales qualified leads through cold calls and emails, providing sales lead and lag measures to the team on a weekly basis.


Duties And Responsibilities
  • Generates Proforma and Service Order Forms as required for existing customers in a timely manner
  • Ensures Service Order Forms are updated with required information and attachments in a timely manner
  • Ensure Service Order Forms are approved in a timely manner and cleaned up on a weekly basis.
  • Keeps track of customer project files and coordinates with the Service Delivery Department to ensure delivery timelines are met.
  • Reports progress and lag to the Sales Manager in a timely manner.
  • Engages with marketing qualified leads. Leads that have been channelled through Website form, Sales Email, Social Media and 3rd Party lead generators.
  • Be the custodian of the Sales Funnel ensuring the funnel is updated and qualified appropriately whereby it reflects a true picture of the sales activity and provides meaningful sales projections.
  • Develop sales qualified leads from Cold and Frozen Sales Funnel leads
  • Prospect and renew contracts of asset financiers customers whose financing terms are expiring in 60 days.
  • Create uninstall orders in a timely manner for customers who have confirmed they wish to terminate the service.
  • Updates all contact information for customers and works with the sales team to ensure customer contracts are updated and
  • uploaded on TrackMIS
  • To be a brand ambassador in every way – from communiques, face to face meetings, professional etiquette, all the way to thorough and methodical follow-ups and sale closure
  • To monitor activities and trends of the market as well as competitors and act on that intelligence so that AFRITRACK is always ahead of the pack.
  • Prepare and share Weekly Flash Reports, Monthly Management Report and any other report deemed necessary from time to time.
  • Any other tasks that are delegated by the Sales Manager, GM, MD or members of the board.

Education Other Skills Required

The Candidate:

  • Able to work with minimal supervision and high sense of responsibility and personal integrity
  • Must be passionate, convincing and must have fire in the belly,
  • Must be ambitious, optimistic and laser focused on success
  • Must be energetic, have a positive outlook and be very creative
  • Must have a mature, pleasant and uplifting attitude and outlook
  • Must be resourceful and innovative in overcoming challenges

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Diploma or equivalent
  • Have at least 1 - 2 years of comparable sales experience
  • Must be IT savvy and must understand basic concepts of the product and how it works
  • Experience in a relevant line of work is favorable but not required
  • Must be Time Oriented
  • Must have Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Must have Good Reporting Skills and Attention to Detail
