Job Summary

System administrator needs to have knowledge of operating systems and applications, as well as hardware and software troubleshooting, but also knowledge of the purposes for which people in the organization use the computers. Will work closely with internal members and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of systems

System Administrator shall maintain and improve the technical systems of a company to ensure all employees have the technology they need to complete their work and the organization’s important files and information remain safe and intact.


Duties And Responsibilities
  •       User administration (setup and maintaining account) - Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
  •       Maintaining and managing all company hardware and systems including Biometric finger print readers, cameras, machines which require computing, company phones, computers, printers, networks, projectors, screens and further automation.
  •       Verify that peripherals are working properly
  •       Quickly arrange repair for hardware in occasion of hardware failure
  •       Monitor system performance and plan and manage the machine room environment
  •       Create file systems - Configuring, adding, and deleting file systems.
  •       Installing, documenting, configuring and managing new hardware and software licenses.
  •       Create a backup and recovery policy.
  •       Monitor network communication and System performance tuning.
  •       Update system as soon as new version of iOS and application software comes out
  •       Implement the policies for the use of the computer system and network
  •       Setup security policies for users. A system admin must have a strong grasp of computer security (e.g. firewalls and intrusion detection systems)
  •       Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.
  •       Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
  •       Answering technical queries and assisting users.
  •       Responsibility for security.
  •       Troubleshooting any reported problems.
  •       Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running.
  •       Ensuring parity between dev, test and production environments.
  •       Training users
  •        Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems
  •       Implement security measures
  •       Monitor security certificates and company compliance of requirements
  •       Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  •       Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  •       Setting up accounts for new users
  •       Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  •       Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems
  •       Install and update company software and hardware, systems, networks, printers and scanners as needed
  •       Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items

An effective System Administrator uses a variety of soft skills, technical skills and industry knowledge to provide the most efficient and comprehensive support they can. These skills include:

  • A System admin must have a strong grasp of computer security. This includes not merely deploying software patches, but also preventing break-ins and other security problems with preventive measures.
  • Problem solving—frequently under various sorts of constraints and stress. The Sysadmin is on call when a computer system goes down or malfunctions, and must be able to quickly correctly diagnose what is wrong and how best to fix it.
  • They may also need to have teamwork and communication skills; as well as being able to install and configure hardware and software.
  • Technical knowledge of relevant operating systems, software and programming
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Good organization, time management and prioritization
  • Efficient troubleshooting abilities
  • Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening
  • Great customer service and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to prioritize and delegate
  • Knowledge of ERP Software’s
  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology , Computer Science and Engineering
