Job Summary

We’re currently building our payments company and we’re looking to source for some strong talents to work with us in this space on a part-time and full time basis. We are still in the early stages and bootstrapping as much as we can, therefore we are mission critical on the kind of roles we need right now but also in need of the right talent to get us from zero to one. After careful consideration, below are the roles we are looking to fill in the early stage. C-suite roles will be run by the co-founders & appointed directors.

Digicash (T) Limited is a medium sized LLC incorporated Under the Laws of the United Republic of Tanzania under Cap 212. Digicash aspires to become the leading provider of payment systems and financial solutions in Tanzania. As an ICT integration and payments company, DigiCash is fully licensed with the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority & soon with the Bank of Tanzania to offer Payment gateway Services. Digicash has placed a special focus on small business owners and online retailers enabling them to receive payments easily from their customers using multiple payment channels. 


Duties And Responsibilities
  • Analyse and correlate information security events to identify appropriate event handling actions & Assess operational and implementation costs, and evaluate them against the potential business impact if the policies and controls are not implemented. 
  • Assess the effectiveness of the measures against security risk management plan.
  • Develop IT security policy and operational procedures based on information collected & Develop a documented action plan containing policies, practices and procedures that mitigate the identified risks.
  • Document information related to IT security attacks, threats, risks and controls & Establish a standard methodology for performing security tests in accordance with security requirements.
  • Establish review procedures based on the organization's security risk management plan.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of current incident response plan against industry good practices & Evaluate response plans periodically to ensure relevance.
  • Identify threats and risks that are relevant to the organization's operations and systems & Monitor the effectiveness of action plans in addressing information risks.
  • Obtain corporate management's endorsement of security policies, standards and procedures by articulating cost and benefits.
  • Prepare information security performance reports based on results from analysis and correlation of information security events.
  • Rate and categorize potential security incidents & Recommend suitable enhancements to improve information security performance.
  • Review business and security environments to identify existing requirements.
  • Review security policies, standards and procedures by considering the threats identified and other information collected.
  • Test incident response plans periodically to ensure response times and executed procedures are acceptable

 


Education Other Skills Required
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science (Including Programming, Networking) , Information Systems (Including Mis, System Design) , Infocomm Security Management (Including Network Security)
  • Significant (5-10 years) experience in IT domain with 3-5 years’ experience in cybersecurity operations or related domain in the banking/payments industry.
  • Cybersecurity operations training with industry-level certification in related fields (e.g. network security, incident handling, threat detection and mitigation, digital forensics). + CEH Certificat
