Job Summary

Under Wrehousing Manager the role is responsible to analyze the process, operations and technology of warehousing. Responsibilities include developing plans to monitor, measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities, employee’s performance, managing warehouse facilities, and reviewing the quality and efficiency of warehouse storage and layout plans. The analytical and logical individual also explores feasible solutions to improve service by Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.

Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets for procurement and warehousing are achieved and that all processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Duties And Responsibilities
  •   Complies with Government policy and Legislation warehousing requirements, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  •      Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  •      Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  •      Organizing and maintaining inventory and storage area
  •      Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; organizing; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  •      Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  •     Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  •      Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  •     Maintains warehouse staff job results by measuring performance, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  •     Maintains receiving , all Keds countrywide warehousing and distribution operations by initiating , coordinating and enforcing program , operational and personnel policies and procedures
  •    Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  •     Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Managing inventoroes and maintaing accurate purchase , pricing records and other important data
  • Data Entry Management
  • Good Organization skill to maintain good flow of inventory
  • Annual asset stock take, Bar code assets and update asset register 

Education Other Skills Required
  •      Proficiency computer skills, including in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word.
  •      Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or any related field
  •      MUST be registered with professional board
  •      3+ years of experience in the FMCG sector
  •      Solid knowledge and understanding of warehousing processes, policy, and systems
  •      Proven supervisory and management experience.
  •      Knowledge of warehouse software packages, ERP Sage is an added advantage
