Job Summary

We are seeking a Head of Finance and Administration to join our growing team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for taking on a leadership role in financial decision-making that affects our company and will provide strategic financial input to the management team of which they are a part. In addition, the chosen candidate will manage the human resources functions of the company assuring compliance and innovative processes to elevate all employee’s engagement and performance while providing clear objectives and evaluations. While keenly overseeing the overall accounting process, the successful Candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial and operational health of our company. He/She will also oversee finance and tax matters as well as to ensure financial health of the company and compliance with all taxes and statutory requirements. 


Duties And Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development and execution of the financial and operational strategy of the company
  • Manage financial controls and accounting procedures. Ensure that the company complies with all tax and statutory requirements as set by the Tanzania Revenue Authority and other Government organs.
  • Ensure full transparency over the financial performance of the company
  • Review and update HR policies and procedures ensure effective implementation and compliance across the company 
  • Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks and mitigations in a timely manner 
  • Propose action plans to ensure that annual and quarterly financial and operational objectives are attained 
  • Support the CEO with the preparation of monthly and annual financial and operational plans, reports and strategic initiatives
  • Maintain timeliness and accuracy of payroll, billings and client payments and processes 
  • Develop recommendations on reward, retention, talent management and succession planning strategies
  • Promote a performance culture within by implementing a business results focused performance management system and ensure uniformity in implementation across the company

Education Other Skills Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA is an added advantage)
  • Professional accounting designation (ACCA or CPA)
  • 10+ years experience in a senior financial managerial position
  • At Least 4 years of generalist human resources experience.
  • Leadership and managerial skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to lead successful teams
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
  • Good organisation skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability or experience to work in a multicultural environment.
