As a consultant you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with potential and existing clients, and for generating sales of Asilia's sustainable tourism products and services in Tanzania. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and a proven track record of success in sales.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Tourism Management or Business Administration
  • Good understanding and knowledge of the safari tourism environment
  • Experience in tour sales for at least three years is a must.
  • Knowledge of travel and booking systems.
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates a calm and collected demeanour under pressure.
  • Results-oriented and experienced in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong admin and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in handling demanding situations (e.g., complaints, last-minute requests, changes whilst travelling).
  • Willingness to handle task outside of office hours when required.
  • Must be willing to travel for work from time to time.
  • Must be at least 28 years old and no older than 40 years old.

Education Other Skills Required
  • Handling of safari requests from agents offering advice and proactive suggestions on itinerary planning.
  • Assist the agent with all aspects of the itinerary planning including routing, logistics, accommodation choices, alternatives, activities.
  • Consider opportunities within the itinerary throughout the planning process.
  • Offer additional information as necessary in the planning process including follow on advice
  • and coordination with Agent Relationship Managers as necessary.
  • Assist with agent communication for additional support on what they expect and assist to align the output with turnaround time guidelines and objectives.
  • In partnership with the team and manager, strive to mutually work towards and provide support on various objectives.
  • Follow all departmental and system procedures set out in the operating manuals.  
  • Build and maintain good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the smooth running of the overall process.
  • Follow up with agents after a safari for any feedback.
  • Always looking for ways to support team performance.
  • Report any concerns to your line manager immediately on discovery.
