Job Summary
Swahili Honey is the second largest producer of honey in Tanzania. We work with over 1800 smallholder farmers to produce world class honey that is ethically sourced and harvested. We are looking for an International Sales Representative to facilitate the acquisition and maintenance of global accounts for our business.
Reports to: CEO
Duties And Responsibilities
Meeting with clients to develop relationships, discuss product details, and provide customer service
Identifying potential clients within specific industries or countries that might have a need for Swahili Honey products
Presenting sales proposals to clients that include pricing information and terms of agreement, such as contract length and termination clauses
Negotiating contracts with clients to ensure mutual satisfaction, and ensuring that agreements are adhered to over time
Identifying opportunities for client growth by offering additional products that complement existing offerings
Coordinating shipping of products from Swahili Honey to customers’ locations
Maintaining a database of clients’ records in the company’s CRM system
Following up with clients after initial meetings to ensure satisfaction with products provided
Presenting new products to existing clients to increase business opportunities
Education Other Skills Required
Excellent communication skills
Adequate product knowledge and interest in honey industry
Strong negotiation skills
Knowledge of export regulations of various jurisdictions including but not limited to; the US, Europe, Middle East and Asia
Problem-solving attitude
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, international business administration or another related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
