The partnerships and resource mobilization officer will conduct the following activities;
A. Partnerships
- Build an increasingly, diversified network of resource partners including development partners, coalitions, women's rights organizations, private sector, academia, policy-makers, philanthropists, and foundations.
- Develop and maintain existing donor and partner relationships by ensuring that the organization maintains effective communications and feedback with donors and partners on updates, activities, and achievements of the organization.
- The officer will routinely map and research stakeholders to identify partners who share the vision of Her Initiative and advice on entry points of engagement with each identified donor.
- Represent the organization in virtual and physical meetings with public and private stakeholders as well as meetings with existing and future donors and partners.
- Develop concise partnership agreement documents for the organization with partners such as Memorandum of Understandings, Teaming agreements, contracts etc.
- In collaboration with the communications team, engage in organizational brand building including the development of collateral materials to support partners engagement and fundraising efforts
B. Resource Mobilization
- Routinely research to identify new funding opportunities within and outside the United Republic of Tanzania shared by stakeholders including potential private donors, public companies, foundations, philanthropy etc.
- Write concise and structured fundraising proposals for the organization and champion fundraising initiatives that can support org in mobilizing new funding.
- Work closely with the key project personnel in motoring and managing resources throughout the time of project implementation.
- Develop and implement a Resource Mobilization Strategy.
- Develop and/or enhance resource mobilization tools as needed;
- Liaise with the Program team and other staff and help them in building their fundraising capacities and knowledge.
- Manage Fundraising Development-related documents, and files, and keep the fundraising section of the organization’s website/drive up to date.
- Perform regular and timely resource mobilization reporting.
- Advise the organization on changing donor priorities and ensure that new local and international funding opportunities are identified and shared with the Program Unit promptly, along with recommendations on whether and how to proceed.
C. Organizational development
- Develop concise safeguarding documents to ensure compliance by participants, personnel, and vulnerable adults on the scope of Her Initiative’s safeguarding policy such as safeguarding declarations for employees, staff etc, consent forms, data protection agreements, etc.
- Work closely with key project personnel in developing and updating risk matrix for projects before, during and after project implementation.
- Develop safeguarding information and communication materials that describe organizations' safeguarding protocols by staff and engaged parties.
- Perform regular and timely safeguarding quarterly reporting.
- Organize refresher training on safeguarding for staff and engaged parties to ensure compliance, adherence and effective safeguarding procedures in the organization.
- Support regular coordination of programs and projects as assigned by the management.
- Coordinate capacity building and team building initiatives for staff and management to foster effective implementation of activities related to departments, projects, and institutional strengthening.
