Job Summary
The duty station is Arusha office with main objective to serve all ASILIA LODGES AND CAMPS systems. Overall, you are expected to work about 80% at camps/lodges and 20% at Arusha office.

Duties And Responsibilities
At camps and lodges
  1. Ensure daily checks of solar power systems including batteries, inverters, modules, etc.
  2. Carry out maintenance of solar power systems including inverters, drive systems, power electronics and automation systems.
  3. Perform solar array tests and analysis on scheduled patterns.
  4. Conduct independent studies and analysis and provide interpretations and conclusions for solar power and general electrical systems
  5. Carry out reviews and definitions of routine test plans and conduct basic tests and diagnostics.
  6. Carry out electrical design of PV plants and monitoring techniques whenever necessary
  7. Carry out detailed solar power system assessments and analysis.
  8. Keep and update proper records of all solar power systems from time to time
  9. Should have strong technical due diligence experience (i.e experience in reviewing designs, technology/equipments, etc)
  10. Ensure all solar water heaters for camps and base are properly maintained.
  11. Ensure timely implementation of maintenance strategies for the lodges/camps.
  12. Prepare technical reports on solar power systems status.
  13. Make technical drawings for further technical communication at different levels.
  14. Record and manage all maintenance services done by outsourced service providers.
  15. Familiarity with PV software packages is an added advantage.
  16. Flexible to work at any ASILIA properties located within the United Republic of Tanzania
  17. Any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the employer. 


At Arusha office
  1. Ensure all electrical systems are properly maintained.
  2. Repair equipments sent to base from camps.
  3. Keep records of all equipemnts (assets) sent to base from other units.
  4. Ensure timely implementation of maintenance strategies. 
  5. Learn and implement company standards/policy on asset management as per guidelines.
  6. Prepare technical reports on equipments / systems status.
  7. Record and manage all PPM services done by outsourced service providers
  8. Any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the employer. 

Education Other Skills Required
  • Advanced diploma in renewable energy or electrical engineering fields from reputable high learning institution / university with at least 4 years working experience for solar power companies.
  • Diploma in renewable energy or electrical engineering fields from reputable high learning institution / university with at least 7 years working experience for solar power companies
