Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Risk and Compliance Officer to join our team. The Risk and Compliance Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining risk management and compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of risk management principles, regulatory compliance frameworks, and exceptional attention to detail.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the organization. Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans to minimize exposure to risk.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Stay abreast of changes in regulations and update compliance programs accordingly.
  • Policy Development: Develop, implement, and review policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Communicate policies effectively to employees and provide training as needed.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks. Monitor the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements as necessary.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation related to risk management and compliance activities, including risk registers, compliance reports, and audit findings. Provide regular reports to management and stakeholders on compliance status and issues.
  • Audits and Investigations: Coordinate internal and external audits and investigations related to risk management and compliance matters. Collaborate with auditors and regulatory agencies to address findings and implement corrective actions.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs on risk management and compliance topics for employees at all levels of the organization. Promote awareness of compliance requirements and foster a culture of ethics and integrity.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and monitor third-party vendors and business partners for compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements. Conduct due diligence assessments and ongoing monitoring of vendor activities.
  • Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans to address potential compliance breaches, security incidents, or other risk events. Coordinate response efforts and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Education Other Skills Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Legal Studies, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CRCM, CAMS, CFE) preferred.
  • Proven experience in risk management, compliance, or related field, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and risk management methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Ethical conduct and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX, HIPAA) a plus.
