Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests, the Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Duties And Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and provide them with information about the hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
Check guests in and out efficiently, ensuring all necessary information is collected and entered accurately into the hotel's computer system.
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Process payments, including cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment, and provide receipts as required.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including the lobby and guest services area.
Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a professional manner, directing inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure guest rooms are clean and well-maintained.
Assist with reservations, including booking rooms, confirming reservations, and managing cancellations and modifications.
Keep accurate records of guest accounts and transactions, balancing cash drawers at the end of each shift.
Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols, to ensure the safety and comfort of guests and staff.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism or related field
Previous experience in a customer service or front desk role preferred.
Proficiency in using computerized reservation and booking systems, as well as Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge of local attractions and amenities is desirable.
