Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests, the Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Greet guests warmly and provide them with information about the hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
  • Check guests in and out efficiently, ensuring all necessary information is collected and entered accurately into the hotel's computer system.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Process payments, including cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment, and provide receipts as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including the lobby and guest services area.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a professional manner, directing inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure guest rooms are clean and well-maintained.
  • Assist with reservations, including booking rooms, confirming reservations, and managing cancellations and modifications.
  • Keep accurate records of guest accounts and transactions, balancing cash drawers at the end of each shift.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols, to ensure the safety and comfort of guests and staff.

Education Other Skills Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism or related field
  • Previous experience in a customer service or front desk role preferred.
  • Proficiency in using computerized reservation and booking systems, as well as Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and amenities is desirable.
