Job Summary
We are looking for a network engineer who will be responsible for maintaining and administering our company's computer networks. Your primary duties will include maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. You will also be working closely with the users of our network in order to identify potential issues and fix existing problems.
Duties And Responsibilities
Analyze and troubleshoot network communications failures and bottlenecks
Analyzing system logs, identifying potential issues and troubleshooting any reported problems
Will be required to be available for on-call duties on a rotational basis
A BS in CS, EE, or CIS
Scripting with Python, No-JS, Perl, or equivalent languages
Understands and assist in technical strategies in the design, configuration and maintenance of LAN, WAN and wireless networks to ensure the stability, integrity and operational effectiveness and efficiency of network services
Participates in the design and configuration of internal and/or external networks as required for assigned projects, assuring that requirements are met
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecom Engineering, Information Technology or related field
Industry-related experience as a Senior IP Network Engineer
Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP and optionally CCDP)
Solid background in network administration and architecture
IP-based WANs, LANs, and transport hardware and software.
In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and IPv4/IPv6.)
Familiarity with access control models and network security, Skills in securing networks with firewalls, Cisco ASA, and other security appliances.
Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
VPN Technologies: Experience with configuring and managing VPNs, particularly IPsec.
Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS)
Implement, and manage a robust and secure network infrastructure
