Job Summary
As the Restaurant Manager at our restaurant, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our establishment to ensure a high-quality dining experience for our guests. You will lead and manage the restaurant staff, ensure customer satisfaction, maintain high standards of food quality, and uphold the restaurant's profitability and reputation. Your goal is to ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
Duties And Responsibilities
Operations Management
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure that stock levels are maintained.
Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures.
Implement and maintain restaurant policies and procedures.
Staff Management
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and bartenders.
Schedule staff shifts and manage labor costs within budget.
Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure continuous development and adherence to standards.
Address staff performance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Customer Service
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer complaints and resolving issues promptly.
Monitor customer feedback and reviews to identify areas for improvement.
Foster a positive dining experience by maintaining a clean, welcoming, and enjoyable atmosphere.
Financial Management
Prepare and manage the restaurant’s budget, including forecasting sales and controlling costs.
Monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability.
Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve revenue and reduce costs.
Manage cash flow, handle transactions, and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
Marketing and Promotion
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Plan and execute promotional events and activities.
Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance the restaurant's online presence and social media engagement.
Quality Control
Ensure that food quality and presentation meet the restaurant's standards.
Monitor kitchen operations to ensure consistency and compliance with recipes and safety standards.
Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen, dining area, and restrooms to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant management or a similar role.
Proven experience in managing restaurant operations and leading a team.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
