Job Summary
We are looking for an Assistant Property Manager to join our team to support the day-to-day operations of our residents, support staff and general operations of our real estate business.
An Assistant Property Manager’s responsibilities include reporting any issues or concerns regarding buildings, basic bookkeeping to keep track of funds efficiently and maintaining relationships between staff members and tenants alike by attending weekly management meetings.
Duties And Responsibilities
Inspect property conditions and coordinate maintenance activities
Manage budgets, accounts, rent collections and tenant notices
Create and distribute marketing materials to attract new tenants
Maintain organized and updated resident files and records
Report any problems or issues to the property manager
Building positive relationships with prospective and current tenants
Overseeing the timely and successful completion of maintenance requests
Showing properties to prospective tenants and answering relevant questions
Assist with the preparation and administration of leases and other property-related documentation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant files and records.
Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing them to the appropriate personnel as necessary.
Manage the scheduling of property tours and tenant meetings.
Respond to tenant inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Assist in the coordination of tenant move-ins and move-outs.
Ensure tenant satisfaction by addressing maintenance requests and other issues in a timely manner.
Schedule and oversee regular property maintenance and repairs.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality work is performed.
Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address maintenance issues.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate, or a related field preferred
Proven work experience as an Assistant Property Manager or similar role
Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Ability to perform property inspections, which may include walking, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods.
