Job Summary
As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires a skilled technician with experience in handling a variety of automotive tasks, from routine maintenance to complex diagnostics and repairs. Duties And Responsibilities
- Vehicle Diagnostics: Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs and routine maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and more.
- Technical Expertise: Stay current with the latest automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry trends to effectively service modern vehicles.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate clearly and effectively with customers to explain vehicle issues, repair options, and estimated costs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and labor hours for billing and warranty purposes.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Tool Maintenance: Keep all tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues to the Service Manager.
Education Other Skills Required
- Diploma or certification in Automotive Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably in a dealership or reputable auto repair shop.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Solid understanding of automotive systems and repair techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
