Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and highly organized Assistant Camps Managers to join our team in our camps. The successful candidate will assist in managing all aspects of our camp operations, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the hospitality industry.
Duties And Responsibilities
Assist the Camps Manager in overseeing daily operations of the camp, including accommodation, food and beverage services, and guest activities.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance throughout the camp.
Manage and train camp staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest service.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Assist in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
Support marketing and promotional activities to increase camp occupancy and revenue.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and policies.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospitality management, preferably in a camp or lodge setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and hospitality management software.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
Fluent in English and Swahili; additional languages are a plus.
Knowledge of the local area and culture is advantageous.
