Job Summary
The Technical Manager will oversee the technical operations and infrastructure of our ISP services. This role involves managing a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring network reliability, and implementing new technologies to improve service quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for staying current with industry trends.
Duties And Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers and technicians. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Network Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the ISP’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
Service Quality: Ensure the reliability, stability, and performance of the network. Implement and monitor KPIs to measure service quality and customer satisfaction.
Technical Support: Provide high-level technical support for escalated issues. Work closely with the customer support team to resolve technical problems promptly.
Project Management: Lead technical projects from planning to execution. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Vendor Management: Liaise with hardware and software vendors to evaluate new technologies and negotiate contracts. Manage relationships with third-party service providers.
Compliance and Security: Ensure the network complies with industry standards and regulations. Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect network integrity.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and technical advancements. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or technical management within the ISP industry.
Strong knowledge of networking technologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
Experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP) are highly desirable.
