Job Summary
As a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Personnel will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the monitoring and evaluation activities for USAID-funded projects. This role includes ensuring data quality, analyzing project performance, and supporting evidence-based decision-making. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in M&E, particularly within the context of USAID projects, and possess strong analytical and communication skills.
Duties And Responsibilities
M&E System Design and Implementation:
Develop and implement comprehensive M&E plans for USAID projects, including frameworks, indicators, and data collection methodologies.
Establish data collection systems and tools to track project performance and impact.
Train project staff and partners on M&E processes and tools to ensure accurate and consistent data collection.
Data Management and Analysis:
Oversee data collection, entry, storage, and analysis to ensure data integrity and security.
Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits to identify and address data discrepancies.
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to assess project outcomes, impact, and effectiveness.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare detailed and timely M&E reports for USAID and other stakeholders, highlighting key findings, lessons learned, and recommendations.
Ensure compliance with USAID reporting requirements and standards.
Document best practices, success stories, and case studies to share with internal and external audiences.
Evaluation and Learning:
Design and conduct evaluations (baseline, mid-term, end-line) to measure project impact and inform future programming.
Facilitate learning sessions and workshops to disseminate evaluation findings and promote adaptive management.
Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the project team and partners.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with project staff, partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of M&E activities with project goals and objectives.
Participate in regular project meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
Represent the organization in M&E-related forums and working groups.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, International Development, or a related field.
3 years of experience in M&E, particularly with USAID-funded projects.
Proven experience in designing and implementing M&E systems and tools.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
Strong proficiency in M&E methodologies and best practices.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.
Experience in specific technical areas relevant to USAID projects (e.g., health, education, economic development).
Familiarity with USAID rules, regulations, and reporting requirements.
