Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to join our team, preferably with a background in the beverages industry and extensive experience in the Kenyan market. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, increase market share, and achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and effective marketing techniques within the beverages industry.

Duties And Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies and campaigns that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies.
  • Create and manage annual marketing plans and budgets.

Brand Management:
  • Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and identity to ensure consistency across all marketing channels.
  • Develop and execute brand activation initiatives to enhance brand equity and customer loyalty.
  • Monitor brand performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

Campaign Management:
  • Plan, execute, and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, print, and experiential marketing.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling marketing materials and content.
  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.

Sales Support:
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop promotional activities and sales tools that support sales objectives.
  • Provide market insights and customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies.
  • Coordinate with sales teams to ensure alignment between marketing initiatives and sales goals.

Digital Marketing:
  • Oversee digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media advertising.
  • Develop and manage the company’s online presence and e-commerce strategies.
  • Analyze digital metrics and optimize digital marketing campaigns for maximum ROI.

Public Relations and Communications:
  • Manage public relations activities, including media relations, press releases, and crisis communication.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee internal communications to ensure consistent messaging within the organization.

Market Analysis and Reporting:
  • Conduct regular market analysis to track industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities.
  • Prepare and present marketing reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and improve marketing effectiveness.

Education Other Skills Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in marketing, with at least 10+ years in a leadership role within the FMCG industry.
  • Deep understanding of the beverages sector and consumer behavior.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong Brand Development and Management skills.
  • Understanding of RTM.
  • Experienced in Portfolio Management.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in marketing analytics tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
