Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and customer-oriented Tour Consultant on behalf of our client to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, selling, and promoting travel packages, tours, and itineraries to meet the needs of individual and group travelers. The role involves working closely with clients to understand their travel preferences and provide them with exceptional service and expert advice.
Duties And Responsibilities
Consultation & Sales:
Engage with clients to understand their travel preferences, interests, and budget.
Provide detailed information about destinations, tour packages, and travel-related services.
Design and sell tailored travel itineraries, including flights, accommodation, tours, and activities.
Convert client inquiries into confirmed bookings by delivering exceptional customer service and follow-up.
Itinerary Planning & Coordination:
Create detailed and well-organized travel itineraries based on clients' requirements.
Coordinate with travel suppliers, hotels, tour operators, and other partners to ensure smooth travel experiences.
Manage booking logistics, including reservations, transportation, and tour activities.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by providing personalized service.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
Provide clients with pre-departure information, including travel tips, visa requirements, and health precautions.
Market Research & Product Development:
Stay informed about current travel trends, emerging destinations, and competitive products.
Assist in the development and promotion of new travel products and services.
Participate in marketing activities, including social media promotion and attending travel fairs.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and client communications.
Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and travel documents.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to travel services.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Tour Consultant or in a similar role within the travel industry.
In-depth knowledge of travel destinations, tour packages, and travel regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales skills.
Strong customer service orientation with a passion for travel.
Proficiency in reservation systems and travel booking platforms.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Flexibility to work outside regular office hours, if required.
