Job Summary
As the Head of Marketing in our company you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive brand growth, increase market share, and enhance customer engagement. This role requires a strategic leader with deep knowledge of the FMCG industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead a high-performing marketing team.
Duties And Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership:
Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and market trends.
Lead the marketing team in creating and executing campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention.
Collaborate with senior management to set marketing goals and KPIs, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.
Brand Management:
Oversee the development and management of the company’s brand portfolio, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning across all channels.
Lead market research initiatives to understand consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape.
Develop and manage brand communication strategies, including advertising, public relations, and digital marketing.
Product Development and Innovation:
Work closely with the product development team to identify market opportunities and guide the launch of new products.
Drive innovation in product packaging, pricing, and promotion strategies to meet consumer needs and preferences.
Monitor product performance and adjust marketing strategies as needed to optimize sales and profitability.
Digital Marketing and E-commerce:
Develop and implement digital marketing strategies that leverage social media, content marketing, SEO/SEM, and email campaigns.
Oversee e-commerce initiatives, ensuring the optimization of online sales channels and customer experience.
Utilize data analytics to measure campaign performance and drive continuous improvement in digital marketing efforts.
Sales Collaboration and Support:
Partner with the sales team to align marketing initiatives with sales objectives, including trade marketing and promotional activities.
Provide marketing support for sales teams, including the development of sales materials, presentations, and training.
Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for targeted marketing campaigns.
Budget Management:
Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
Monitor and report on marketing expenditures, adjusting strategies as needed to stay within budget while achieving targets.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a dynamic marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and high performance.
Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the team, conducting regular reviews and providing feedback.
Identify training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the marketing team.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including agencies, suppliers, and partners.
Represent the marketing department in cross-functional meetings, contributing to company-wide strategic initiatives.
Communicate marketing plans, results, and insights to senior management and other key stakeholders.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing leadership roles within the FMCG sector.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive brand growth and sales.
Strong understanding of FMCG market dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive analysis.
Expertise in digital marketing, brand management, and product development.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and CRM systems.
