Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Specialist on behalf of our client to join their team in the FMCG sector. The Tax Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the company complies with all tax regulations and laws, managing tax filings, preparing tax reports, and providing expert advice on tax-related issues. This role is crucial in optimizing our tax strategy while minimizing risks and costs.
Duties And Responsibilities
Daily/Monthly/quarterly and Annual tax monitoring of tax transactions in the financial statements.
Timely Prepare and maintain paperwork related to all aspects of the tax accounting cycle, including preparation and filing of tax returns.
Assist in the Preparation of annual tax planning, budgeting, and estimates.
Timely document and inform TRA on any Matters related to system failures (EFD or ETS machines).
Ensure that at all times the company is not exposed to tax litigations by ensuring that fully compliant with tax laws and regulations.
Participate and lead TRA tax Audits, tax investigations, and reconciliations.
Lead Monthly stock-take exercises and reports.
Conducting Tax Health - Check exercise every six Months (Semi-Annually).
Preparing MBL Tax Register and register compliance registers.
Any other responsibility as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Education Other Skills Required
BSc degree in Finance, Taxation, Management/Financial Accounting and CPA/ACCA
3 years of working experience two of each must have worked as a Tax accountant or tax specialist.
Experience working in an Audit Firm.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and time management skills.
Experience managing extensive volumes of paperwork and accounting for a corporation or large organization.
Computer literacy and familiarity with accounting software.
