Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and personable Large Format Retail Manager on behalf of our client to oversee and manage key retail chains, including large mobile providers and other major retail outlets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in key account management, relationship building, and driving sales within large retail formats. This role requires a results-driven professional who can balance strategic account management with a good sense of humor and an ability to foster positive relationships with clients and internal teams.

Duties And Responsibilities
Key Account Management:
  • Oversee and manage relationships with large retail chains, including major mobile providers and electronics retailers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring smooth communication and addressing client needs effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to increase sales, revenue, and market share within large format retailers.

Sell-Out Management:
  • Drive the sell-out process within retail channels by closely monitoring product performance and ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Work with retailers to design and execute promotional strategies that maximize product visibility and boost sales.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities, providing actionable insights to optimize performance.

Relationship Building:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within retail chains.
  • Collaborate with store managers, purchasing teams, and sales associates to ensure alignment on sales goals and marketing initiatives.
  • Foster a positive and enjoyable working relationship with both external and internal teams, maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Sales & Target Achievement:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets for products within large format retail channels.
  • Regularly review and evaluate sales performance, adjusting strategies to achieve optimal results.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to implement new business development initiatives that expand market presence in large format retail stores.

Retail Operations Support:
  • Work closely with retail chains to ensure smooth execution of in-store displays, marketing materials, and product placements.
  • Ensure all merchandising efforts align with brand standards and are executed consistently across all outlets.
  • Conduct regular store visits to monitor product placement, pricing, and inventory levels, while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Training & Development:
  • Provide training and support to retail staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement to improve sell-through rates.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to junior sales team members, sharing best practices and fostering professional development.

Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and account health to senior management.
  • Utilize data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement in retail channels, providing actionable recommendations to drive results.

Education Other Skills Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in key account management, preferably within large format retail or telecommunications industries.
  • Strong understanding of retail sales processes, sell-out strategies, and merchandising techniques.
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust.
  • A good sense of humor and ability to foster a positive and energetic work environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data to drive performance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and sales management software.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales and account management, ideally in a large format retail environment.
  • Experience working with key accounts in mobile telecommunications or consumer electronics is a plus.
