Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Medical Sales Representative on behalf of our clients to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling medical products to healthcare professionals and institutions. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating the benefits of our products to drive sales and achieve targets.

Duties And Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
  • Promote and sell our medical products and services to healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and hospital administrators.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territories.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives set by the company.

Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with health care stakeholders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups and check-ins to ensure client satisfaction and product usage.

Product Knowledge & Training:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s medical products and their benefits.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on product features, applications, and benefits through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and competitors’ activities to maintain a competitive edge.

Market Research & Reporting:
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to management.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activities and industry developments.

Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and product inventories.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and reporting related to sales transactions and client interactions.

Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to support overall business objectives.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote the company’s products and network with potential clients.

Education Other Skills Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in medical sales, medical tourism, or a similar role within the healthcare industry.
  • Must have an established network of specialists and surgeons within the Dar Es Salaam region.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Swahili is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and skilled in database creation and management.
  • Experience in target-based sales and good communication.
  • In-depth understanding of medical products, industry regulations, laboratory equipment, and medical supplies is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with healthcare treatments, specialties, surgeries, and related areas.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle objections effectively.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with healthcare professionals.
  • Prior experience working in the field is required.
  • Must be comfortable with traveling within Tanzania and to neighboring countries.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently with a results-oriented approach.
  • A well-established network of contacts with surgeons in leading hospitals in the Dar Es Salaam region is mandatory.
  • Relevant certifications or training in medical sales are an advantage.
