Job Summary
We are seeking an organized and experienced Head of Retail on behalf of our client to oversee the day-to-day operations of our auto shop, ensuring that sales targets are achieved and customers receive exceptional service. The Head of Retail will be responsible for managing staff, driving sales, and ensuring the smooth operation of the retail department. This role requires a strong leader with a background in retail management and a passion for the automotive industry.
Duties And Responsibilities
Hire, train, and develop retail staff to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
Assign staff to shifts and ensure proper coverage during peak times.
Motivate and support staff members during busy shifts to maintain high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
Manage inventory by ordering stock for the store and ensuring proper stock levels are maintained.
Create, monitor, and maintain monthly budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
Prepare payslips for staff and manage payroll.
Set and achieve monthly and annual sales targets, driving the team toward meeting business objectives.
Monitor sales performance and develop strategies to boost revenue and improve the customer experience.
Ensure the store is visually appealing, clean, and organized to attract customers and enhance the shopping experience.
Analyze sales data and prepare reports for upper management.
Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and logistics, to ensure smooth overall business operations.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Retail Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Retail Manager, preferably within the automotive industry or a similar field.
Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating a retail team.
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve customer issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
Experience in driving sales and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Ability to create and manage budgets, analyze financial data, and manage payroll.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to give clear instructions and feedback to staff.
Proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions to enhance business operations.
Ability to adapt to changes in workload and manage a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with automotive products and services is an added advantage.
