Job Summary
We are looking for an organized and experienced Warehouse Manager on behalf of our client to supervise the receipt, dispatch, and storage of merchandise in our warehouse. As the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee various functions such as picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, sanitation, and administration. You will be responsible for training, evaluating, and rewarding staff, while ensuring the proper maintenance of company assets.

To succeed in this role, you must excel at multitasking in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, performing your duties in a manner that optimizes efficiency and maximizes profits. Top candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, dedication, and competence.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of receiving, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Implement and enforce warehouse operational policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and ensure effective warehouse security operations.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient use of warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety for all staff and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Motivate, discipline, and manage warehouse staff performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including inventory, receiving, and dispatching logs.
  • Keep track of fleet vehicles and ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Assist with deliveries when necessary.
  • Ensure the maintenance of warehouse cleanliness, sanitation, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and inventory accuracy.

Education Other Skills Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of warehouse management experience in Tanzania or a similar setting.
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Proficient in warehouse management software and inventory systems.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Swahili (written and verbal).
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Ability to multitask and solve problems effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of Tanzanian labor laws, safety regulations, and warehousing standards.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or shifts when necessary.
