Job Summary
As the ICT Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance and management of Interchick's network and systems infrastructure. This role ensures that all computer hardware and software elements are running optimally, securely, are backed up, and available when required.
Duties And Responsibilities
Develop and implement system administration plans in accordance with Interchick’s information technology needs.
Manage network and communication systems performance, including LAN/WAN, VPNs, and Wi-Fi networks, to meet set requirements and recommend continuous improvements.
Oversee the database infrastructure and systems development, ensuring seamless integration of new systems with existing ones, utilizing SQL and NoSQL databases.
Implement IT policies and procedures related to ICT infrastructure, including security, disaster recovery, business continuity, backup management, and control structures, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 standards.
Configure, maintain, and upgrade computers, servers, automation equipment, systems, and related hardware/software, including virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
Stay current with the latest technologies, such as IoT, AI, and machine learning, and determine which new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements.
Continuously review ICT policies to ensure compliance with industry best practices and existing laws, including GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.
Maintain constant consultation with all technology-based service providers, including managed service providers (MSPs) and third-party vendors.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized university.
Professional qualifications in CCNA, MCSE, Virtualization (e.g., VMware Certified Professional), and cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a comparable position, with experience in network administration, system administration, and database management.
