Job Summary
We are seeking a methodical and strategic Grants Specialist to join our organization. This role will be crucial in enhancing funding models, identifying new funding sources, and developing sustainable and effective grants programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in grants management, ensuring our organization secures continuous funding to support meaningful projects that serve the public.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and design grant programs that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Determine funding needs through thorough analysis and collaboration with project teams.
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify new funding opportunities and support agencies.
- Collaborate with grant writers and engage with donor agencies to ensure effective communication and proposal submissions.
- Optimize the grant administration process to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Prepare progress reports and financial reports for the board of directors, ensuring transparency and compliance with grant regulations.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, documenting payments and expenditures meticulously.
- Track grant applications, managing timelines and deliverables to ensure timely submissions.
- Educate and train staff on grant policies and procedures to foster a culture of compliance and excellence in grant management.
Education Other Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience in successful grants management, including budgeting and accounting.
- Methodical and strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including grant management software and database management.
