We are looking for a talented Infographic and Data Visual Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in transforming complex data and information into visually engaging, easy-to-understand infographics and data visualizations. This role requires proficiency in graphic design, data visualization, and the ability to work with various design tools to create impactful content for digital and print platforms.

Graphic Designing

• Design and layout information and communication materials (e.g., banners, posters, booklets, newsletters, presentations, leaflets, books, reports, calendars, bulletins, flyers, cards, e-journals, infographics, and factsheets).
• Create innovative visual content (graphics, charts, illustrations, etc.) for reporting and communication through social media, print media, website, events, and other communication platforms.
• Contribute creative design ideas and document field visits and events through photography, videography, and other visual elements.
• Improve and edit artwork, photos, charts, and other graphic elements as needed.

Support Information Management and Communication Technology

• Assist with data collection and analysis, extracting insights and identifying key messages to communicate visually.
• Translate complex data into easily digestible, visually appealing content to engage audiences.
• Develop data narratives for visual storytelling, emphasizing key information for clarity.
• Prioritize and organize data to direct audience attention to the most important points.
• Assist in maintaining and updating web pages.
• Support IT-related administrative tasks, including procurement processes for IT items and liaising with suppliers.

Support Branding and Development of Visibility Materials

• Develop knowledge-sharing and visibility products to share key information and success stories on online platforms.
• Contribute design ideas for visual elements in organizational events.
• Support general communications and visibility efforts.

Programme Support and Monitoring

• Design digital and paper-based data collection forms for field data collection.
• Support data quality checks and validation in program databases, providing feedback on performance and quality.
• Participate in field missions for data validation and quality assessment.
• Support capacity-building sessions on data collection tools.

Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement

• Assist in organizing and coordinating outreach activities with stakeholders.
• Support the monitoring and communication teams with outreach initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Information Technology, or a related field is advantageous.
• IT certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent are advantageous.
• 2+ years (with a Bachelor’s degree) in Graphic Design, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and familiarity with web design tools (e.g., Dreamweaver, Flash).
• Strong understanding of design principles, layout, typography, and color theory.
• Experience with data visualization and different data representation techniques.
• Skilled in system administration of Windows and Linux.
• Knowledge of videography, photography, and editing.
• Experience in graphic production and color management.
• Familiarity with data representation and design elements.
• Mature design style, demonstrating an understanding of effective communication.
