Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to oversee purchasing activities and ensure that products and services meet our client's operational needs. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, an eye for cost-saving opportunities, and experience in managing vendor relationships. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate across departments and contribute to improving the procurement process.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure reliable sources of supply; negotiate favorable terms and prices with vendors.
  • Source, evaluate, and order materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they meet quality and quantity standards.
  • Draft, review, and manage purchasing contracts to secure favorable terms and mitigate risks.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to reduce procurement costs through strategic sourcing and negotiation.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with company policies and legal requirements; maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Conduct market analysis to stay informed on industry trends and emerging products that may benefit the organization.
  • Work closely with departments to understand their procurement needs and provide support in sourcing specific materials or services.

Education Other Skills Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; relevant certifications 
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage procurement processes and develop effective sourcing strategies.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Proficiency in procurement and ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong understanding of contract management principles and experience in drafting and reviewing agreements.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and an understanding of import/export laws and logistics (if applicable).
  • Analytical skills with the ability to assess supply market conditions, identify cost drivers, and develop cost-reduction strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with the ability to present data and reports clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on achieving results.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.
