Job Summary
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Store Managerwith expertise in transport and logistics operations, specifically in managing fuel management systems. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, cost control, and using cost-control software. This role ensures the efficient operation of the fuel management store, minimizes wastage, and maintains accurate records for accountability and cost-effectiveness.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the fuel store, ensuring proper inventory levels and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage storage, distribution, and record-keeping of fuel and related supplies.
  • Develop and implement systems to monitor fuel usage and prevent wastage or pilferage.
  • Conduct regular stock-taking and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Monitor fuel stock levels and place orders in a timely manner to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Ensure all stock movements are recorded and reconciled against system reports.
  • Use cost control software to analyze fuel consumption patterns, identify inefficiencies, and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Prepare and present reports on fuel usage, inventory levels, and associated costs.
  • Supervise and train store personnel, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with transport and logistics teams to ensure seamless fuel supply operations.
  • Address any discrepancies in fuel usage or stock levels promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure all operations comply with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fuel management best practices and industry standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure the safe storage and handling of fuel.

Education Other Skills Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in store management, preferably in the transport and logistics industry.
  • Proficiency in cost-control and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar tools).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team coordination and stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of fuel management systems and industry standards is a must.
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management is an added advantage.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong focus on accuracy, accountability, and cost efficiency.
  • High level of integrity and reliability.
