Job Summary
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Store Managerwith expertise in transport and logistics operations, specifically in managing fuel management systems. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, cost control, and using cost-control software. This role ensures the efficient operation of the fuel management store, minimizes wastage, and maintains accurate records for accountability and cost-effectiveness.
Duties And Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the fuel store, ensuring proper inventory levels and compliance with safety regulations.
Manage storage, distribution, and record-keeping of fuel and related supplies.
Develop and implement systems to monitor fuel usage and prevent wastage or pilferage.
Conduct regular stock-taking and maintain accurate inventory records.
Monitor fuel stock levels and place orders in a timely manner to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Ensure all stock movements are recorded and reconciled against system reports.
Use cost control software to analyze fuel consumption patterns, identify inefficiencies, and recommend cost-saving measures.
Monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
Prepare and present reports on fuel usage, inventory levels, and associated costs.
Supervise and train store personnel, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Collaborate with transport and logistics teams to ensure seamless fuel supply operations.
Address any discrepancies in fuel usage or stock levels promptly and efficiently.
Ensure all operations comply with environmental and safety regulations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fuel management best practices and industry standards.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure the safe storage and handling of fuel.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in store management, preferably in the transport and logistics industry.
Proficiency in cost-control and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar tools).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team coordination and stakeholder engagement.
Knowledge of fuel management systems and industry standards is a must.
Certification in logistics or supply chain management is an added advantage.
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
Strong focus on accuracy, accountability, and cost efficiency.
