Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance to lead our financial operations and strategies. As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee the financial health of the company, driving performance, optimizing resources, and supporting strategic growth in the fast-paced software industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to align financial objectives with business goals.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy to support short-term and long-term business goals.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the executive team to guide decision-making.
- Create forecasts, budgets, and financial models to evaluate the company’s performance and opportunities.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, payroll, cash flow, and compliance.
- Monitor financial performance and recommend actions to optimize profitability and efficiency.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks by implementing effective controls and risk management processes.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and support professional development within the team.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment on financial goals and resource allocation.
- Leverage financial and ERP software to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems and tools to support business growth.
- Stay updated on financial technology trends to ensure the company remains competitive.
- Work closely with the product, marketing, and sales teams to align financial resources with growth initiatives.
- Provide financial analysis for software development projects, pricing strategies, and market expansion plans.
- Support fundraising efforts and manage relationships with investors and stakeholders.
Education Other Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (CPA, or MBA preferred).
- Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within the software or technology sector.
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and management.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial management systems and ERP software.
- Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proven leadership abilities and team-building expertise.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
