Job Summary
The Group Operations Director (GOD) is responsible for the overall management of the Group's global operations. His/her role is to lead, oversee, and optimize all operational functions across the group's 20 subsidiaries. The GOD ensures the strategic alignment and effective execution of operations, ensuring performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction while driving profitability and innovation in processes.
Duties And Responsibilities
Define and implement operational strategies that align with the group's global objectives. Collaborate with the executive team to establish priorities and strategic initiatives.
Ensure the effective execution of operations across the group's subsidiaries, ensuring quality of services and team performance.
Identify and implement continuous improvements in operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Oversee the group's transportation, supply, and distribution operations, ensuring quality and efficiency across all processes. Human Resources Management in Operations: Lead, train, and evaluate operational teams in each subsidiary. Ensure team development and achievement of performance goals.
Ensure optimal management of stock and resources across the different sites to maintain smooth operations.
Ensure compliance with the group's quality standards for all operational processes. Monitor adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate operational performance across all locations. Analyze results and propose corrective actions when needed.
Identify, assess, and manage potential risks related to the group's operations, proposing mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, particularly related to transport, logistics, and safety.
Drive innovation and digital transformation initiatives within the operations, implementing tools and technologies to optimize processes, improve traceability, and reduce costs.
Promote and lead the adoption of new technologies, methods, and operational practices to ensure continuous improvement across the group's operations.
Ensure that operational services align with customer expectations, working to build long-term relationships with clients through high-quality service delivery.
Maintain strong relationships with key partners (suppliers, transporters, etc.) to ensure smooth and optimal collaboration.
Education Other Skills Required
Advanced degree in management, logistics, transportation, or a related field. An MBA or further qualifications are a plus.
At least 10-15 years of experience in operations management within multinational companies, with significant experience in managing global subsidiaries.
Prior experience in the logistics and transportation sector is essential.
Expertise in operations management, supply chain management, and logistics processes on a global scale.
Ability to lead and motivate international teams, with a strong focus on fostering a performance-driven culture.
Strong data management and performance analysis capabilities.
Ability to make decisions based on analysis and key metrics.
Ability to drive transformation projects and process improvements, particularly through the adoption of new technologies.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Fluent in English and French.
