We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Assistant on behalf of our client to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in driving the company’s sales operations and client relationships, especially with Chinese-speaking clients. Duties And Responsibilities
Support the sales team in achieving sales targets by assisting in strategy implementation and day-to-day operations.
Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
Actively identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities to grow the client base.
Collaborate with internal teams to tailor products or services to meet client-specific needs.
Communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking clients to bridge language and cultural gaps, ensuring seamless interactions.
Assist with sales presentations, negotiations, and contract finalizations, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to provide insights that inform sales strategies.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress reports using CRM tools.
Provide administrative and logistical support to the sales team, including coordinating meetings, preparing proposals, and managing correspondence.
Represent the company at industry events, networking sessions, and client meetings as needed.
Education Other Skills Required
A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
2 to 4 years of proven experience in sales, preferably in roles involving client-facing activities or international business.
Fluency in Chinese (speaking) is MANDATORY; written proficiency is a significant advantage but not a must.
Strong understanding of Tanzanian business environment, including market dynamics and cultural considerations.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to identify client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Familiarity with CRM systems and basic computer proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Business acumen with the ability to analyze sales metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
Prior experience in sectors such as import/export, trading, or technology solutions is highly desirable.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Understanding of Chinese business culture, etiquette, and negotiation styles.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
