Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Assistant on behalf of our client to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in driving the company’s sales operations and client relationships, especially with Chinese-speaking clients. If you have a proven track record in sales, exceptional communication skills, and a strong grasp of business operations, we want to hear from you.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Support the sales team in achieving sales targets by assisting in strategy implementation and day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  • Actively identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities to grow the client base.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor products or services to meet client-specific needs.
  • Communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking clients to bridge language and cultural gaps, ensuring seamless interactions.
  • Assist with sales presentations, negotiations, and contract finalizations, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to provide insights that inform sales strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress reports using CRM tools.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the sales team, including coordinating meetings, preparing proposals, and managing correspondence.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking sessions, and client meetings as needed.

Education Other Skills Required
  • A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of proven experience in sales, preferably in roles involving client-facing activities or international business.
  • Fluency in Chinese (speaking) is MANDATORY; written proficiency is a significant advantage but not a must.
  • Strong understanding of Tanzanian business environment, including market dynamics and cultural considerations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and basic computer proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Business acumen with the ability to analyze sales metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Prior experience in sectors such as import/export, trading, or technology solutions is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Understanding of Chinese business culture, etiquette, and negotiation styles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
