Job Summary
We are looking for a personable and professional Front Office Officer fluent in Mandarin on behalf of our client to join their team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring an exceptional experience from check-in to check-out. This role requires excellent communication skills in Mandarin and English, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to handle guest inquiries efficiently and courteously.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and assist with the check-in and check-out processes.
  • Provide information about hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and directions.
  • Communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking guests to address their needs and concerns.
  • Manage reservations, cancellations, and changes efficiently using the hotel’s property management system (PMS).
  • Maintain accurate records of guest details, preferences, and special requests.
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Translate and assist Mandarin-speaking guests with inquiries, ensuring smooth communication.
  • Act as a liaison between Mandarin-speaking guests and non-Mandarin-speaking staff members.
  • Process payments, issue invoices, and manage daily cash transactions accurately.
  • Ensure proper billing and payment procedures are followed.

Education Other Skills Required
  • Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field is preferred.
  • Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) and English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a front office or customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using property management systems (e.g., Opera, PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Friendly, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations diplomatically.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach.
