Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and creative Communications Officer to manage and enhance our organization's internal and external communication strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating compelling content, managing media relations, and ensuring consistent messaging that aligns with our brand identity. This role is critical in strengthening our brand reputation, engaging stakeholders, and fostering meaningful relationships across various communication channels.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop, write, and edit high-quality content for press releases, newsletters, reports, website, and social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce engaging promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Maintain and update the organization’s website and ensure the accuracy of published content.
  • Build and nurture relationships with journalists, media outlets, and other stakeholders.
  • Draft press releases and coordinate media coverage for organizational events and initiatives.
  • Monitor media coverage and report on the organization’s public image.
  • Ensure all communication materials align with the organization's branding and messaging guidelines.
  • Develop strategies to enhance brand visibility and reputation in the community and industry.
  • Coordinate and manage communication flow within the organization to ensure alignment across departments.
  • Prepare and disseminate internal updates, memos, and announcements.
  • Support engagement with key stakeholders, including partners, donors, and community members, through targeted communication initiatives.
  • Organize and promote events to increase public awareness and engagement with the organization.
  • Analyze the performance of communication strategies and campaigns using metrics and data-driven insights.
  • Prepare regular reports on communication activities and recommend improvements.

Education Other Skills Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a communications or PR role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and social media platforms.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with design and editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
