Job Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Financial Controller to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be a key strategic partner, overseeing our financial operations, ensuring robust compliance, and delivering actionable insights that drive our business forward. You will work collaboratively with diverse teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, aligning financial strategies with overall business objectives.
- Provide strategic insights through detailed financial analysis and performance reporting to support decision-making at all levels.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with applicable standards.
- Prepare and present clear, concise financial statements and management reports, highlighting trends and recommending improvements.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial data.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements, proactively identifying and mitigating financial risks.
- Coordinate and manage external audits and work closely with auditors to ensure adherence to financial policies and standards.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to financial controls, driving continuous improvements in risk management processes.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing finance team, promoting an environment of professional growth and collaborative problem-solving.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including operations, sales, and technology to integrate financial insights into strategic business initiatives.
- Champion process improvements and automation initiatives, working together with colleagues to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Oversee cash flow planning, working capital management, and investment strategies to optimize the organization’s financial health.
- Develop effective forecasting models and analytical tools to monitor liquidity and support strategic financial planning.
Education Other Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior financial management role.
- Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail with a strong grasp of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of translating complex financial data into clear strategic recommendations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to managing financial risks and opportunities.
