We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Assistant Lodge Manager to support daily operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will assist in managing staff, overseeing lodge activities, and maintaining high hospitality standards. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for customer service.
Duties And Responsibilities
Assist in managing day-to-day lodge operations to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Supervise and support staff across various departments, including housekeeping, front desk, and food services.
Ensure guests receive high-quality service and resolve any complaints or issues promptly.
Oversee reservations, check-ins, and check-outs to maintain smooth operations.
Assist in financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and expense tracking.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality regulations.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, service providers, and local authorities. Support marketing initiatives, guest engagement activities, and special events.
Train and mentor staff to uphold service excellence and operational standards.
Monitor lodge facilities and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.
Education Other Skills Required
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in hospitality, preferably in a lodge, hotel, or resort setting. Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
Knowledge of reservation systems and hospitality software is an advantage.
Understanding of financial management and cost control.
