Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role requires expertise in vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Repair and replace faulty parts such as brakes, engines, transmissions, and fuel systems.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Test drive vehicles to confirm repairs and diagnose further issues.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.
- Advise customers or fleet managers on necessary repairs and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Follow industry safety standards and workplace best practices.
- Keep up to date with new automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Education Other Skills Required
- Diploma or certification in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and hand tools.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with a variety of vehicle brands and models.
- Knowledge of computerized diagnostic systems and modern automotive technology.
- Certification in automotive repair or manufacturer-specific training is an advantage.
