Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the daily operations of our dynamic engineering company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement across all departments. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills to enhance productivity and project delivery.
Duties And Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Oversee project execution, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
Manage personnel, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity and cost-effectiveness.
Identify inefficiencies, implement best practices, and leverage technology to enhance operational performance.
Ensure all operations comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
Work closely with finance teams to monitor budgets, control costs, and improve profitability.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure smooth procurement and supply chain operations.
Enforce health, safety, and quality control measures to maintain a safe and high-performing work environment.
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Track key operational KPIs, generate reports, and provide insights to senior management for data-driven decision-making.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management, preferably in the engineering, construction, or manufacturing sector.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and operational best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make informed strategic decisions.
Experience with ERP systems, workflow automation, and operational analytics tools.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or Lean Six Sigma is an advantage.
Experience in supply chain and procurement management.
Familiarity with sustainability and green engineering practices.
