Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive ICT Administrator to manage and enhance our organization's technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication, data security, and system efficiency. The ideal candidate will oversee IT operations, provide technical support, and drive digital transformation initiatives to support our research and innovation objectives.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Oversee servers, databases, and cloud-based platforms, ensuring system reliability and data integrity.
- Implement and enforce security measures, backup procedures, and compliance with data protection policies.
- Provide timely assistance to staff, resolving IT-related issues and enhancing user experience.
- Administer email platforms, collaboration tools, and telecommunication systems to optimize internal and external communication.
- Manage research and office applications, ensuring proper licensing, functionality, and user training.
- Assist in the development and implementation of technology strategies to enhance efficiency and support research activities.
- Coordinate with IT service providers, procure technology solutions, and maintain an up-to-date IT asset inventory.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on IT best practices, security awareness, and new system implementations.
Education Other Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ICT administration, preferably in a research or academic environment.
- Strong knowledge of networking, system administration, and cloud computing.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity principles and data protection regulations.
- Hands-on experience with database management, software applications, and IT troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support non-technical users.
- Experience with research data management and analysis tools.
- Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and compliance standards.
- Ability to manage multiple IT projects simultaneously.
