Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager to lead the design, implementation, and oversight of M&E systems within our organization. This role will ensure that our programs are data-driven, impactful, and aligned with organizational goals and donor requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in program evaluation, and the ability to translate data into meaningful insights for decision-making.
Duties And Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive M&E framework to track program performance and impact.
Design and oversee data collection tools, methodologies, and reporting mechanisms to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Conduct regular field visits to monitor project activities, assess progress, and provide technical support.
Ensure timely and high-quality reporting to donors, partners, and stakeholders.
Establish and maintain a robust data management system to store, analyze, and visualize program data.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis to measure project outcomes and identify trends.
Develop dashboards and reporting formats to effectively communicate findings to internal and external audiences.
Promote the use of evidence-based decision-making within the organization.
Train and mentor project teams on M&E best practices, tools, and data utilization.
Facilitate learning and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance program effectiveness.
Collaborate with internal teams, government agencies, and external partners to align M&E activities with sector best practices.
Support proposal development by contributing to the design of logical frameworks, indicators, and M&E plans.
Lead program evaluations, impact assessments, and lessons learned exercises.
Identify gaps in program implementation and recommend adaptive strategies for continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with donor M&E requirements and international standards.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in M&E roles within NGOs, development programs, or international organizations.
Proven experience in designing M&E frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
Strong proficiency in data collection, analysis software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, Power BI, or Excel), and reporting.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in an accessible way.
Experience working with donors and understanding donor reporting requirements.
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Attributes
Knowledge of participatory monitoring and evaluation approaches.
Experience using digital data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, CommCare, or ODK).
Ability to work in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
