Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled IT Technician to provide technical support, maintain IT systems, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting, network administration, and enterprise software management. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties And Responsibilities
Provide first-line IT support for hardware, software, and network issues across all departments.
Diagnose, repair, and upgrade IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and industrial control systems.
Ensure minimal downtime by swiftly addressing system failures and user-reported issues.
Monitor and maintain company networks, ensuring stable connectivity across production and administrative units.
Assist in configuring and managing servers, firewalls, and security protocols to safeguard company data.
Manage user accounts, access controls, and software licenses.
Perform routine system backups and data recovery procedures.
Implement cybersecurity best practices to protect company assets from potential threats.
Maintain IT documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and user guides.
Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise software, including ERP and production management systems.
Collaborate with IT vendors and service providers to ensure optimal system performance.
Train employees on IT best practices and software applications to enhance efficiency.
Education Other Skills Required
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years in IT support, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
Knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, VPN, and LAN/WAN management.
Experience with ERP systems, database management, and industrial automation software is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Willingness to provide on-site support and travel between company facilities if required.
