Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Treasury Officer to manage cash flow, optimize liquidity, and oversee financial risk management. The ideal candidate will have experience in treasury operations within the financial sector, strong knowledge of cash management strategies, and the ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Duties And Responsibilities
Monitor and manage daily cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
Optimize cash utilization through effective planning, forecasting, and investment strategies.
Coordinate fund transfers, payments, and reconciliations to maintain smooth financial operations.
Implement strategies for managing financial risks, including interest rate and foreign exchange exposure.
Ensure compliance with internal treasury policies, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
Assist in developing and executing funding strategies to support the institution’s growth.
Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions to negotiate favorable terms on credit facilities, deposits, and foreign exchange transactions.
Support investment decisions by analyzing market trends and recommending optimal investment opportunities.
Ensure proper documentation and management of treasury transactions.
Prepare and analyze treasury reports, including cash flow statements, investment reports, and risk exposure assessments.
Ensure accurate reconciliation of bank accounts and financial instruments.
Work closely with internal audit and compliance teams to maintain regulatory adherence.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A professional certification (CPA, CFA, or ACCA) is an added advantage.
Minimum of 3–5 years in treasury management, banking, or financial operations, preferably in microfinance, banking, or financial services.
Strong understanding of cash flow management, liquidity planning, and financial risk assessment.
Proficiency in financial modeling and treasury management systems.
Knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel for banking and financial engagements if required.
