Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Fundraising Manager to lead and grow the organization’s resource mobilization efforts. This role will focus on developing and implementing innovative fundraising strategies, nurturing donor relationships, and securing diverse funding streams to support programmatic goals. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented professional with a passion for social impact, a strong understanding of fundraising trends, and exceptional communication skills.
Duties And Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with organizational priorities.
Identify and pursue funding opportunities from institutional donors, corporates, foundations, high-net-worth individuals, and other stakeholders.
Create compelling proposals, concept notes, and grant applications tailored to specific donor interests and requirements.
Design and implement campaigns and donor engagement plans that maximize revenue generation.
Cultivate and manage relationships with existing and prospective donors, ensuring regular communication and stewardship.
Coordinate donor reporting processes, ensuring timely submission of high-quality narrative and financial reports.
Organize donor visits, events, and presentations that highlight the organization’s impact and value proposition.
Maintain an updated donor database and track interactions to support relationship management efforts.
Represent the organization at relevant forums, events, and meetings to build strategic partnerships.
Collaborate with internal teams to align fundraising activities with programmatic and operational needs.
Work closely with communications and program teams to develop promotional materials and success stories for donor engagement.
Monitor trends in philanthropy, donor priorities, and funding landscapes to inform fundraising strategy.
Analyze fundraising performance metrics and donor feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Education Other Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in fundraising, business development, or resource mobilization within the NGO sector.
Excellent writing, presentation, and proposal development skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities.
Strategic thinking with the ability to translate organizational needs into fundraising opportunities.
Familiarity with donor expectations and grant management processes (e.g., USAID, EU, UN, corporate CSR, etc.).
Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
Proficiency in CRM tools, donor databases, and MS Office Suite.
