Job Summary
As a Supply Chain Officer you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. The role requires ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with company policies.

Duties And Responsibilities
Procurement Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure optimal procurement deals.
  • Manage purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders.

Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Logistics and Distribution:
  • Coordinate transportation and distribution of goods, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
  • Manage relationships with logistics providers and oversee the performance of third-party carriers.
  • Optimize logistics operations to reduce costs and improve delivery times.

Supply Chain Planning:
  • Forecast demand and plan supply chain activities to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with production and sales teams to align supply chain activities with business goals.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans.

Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement, inventory, and logistics transactions.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management on supply chain performance metrics.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in supply chain management.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on supply chain processes and best practices.

Education Other Skills Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics operations.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
